I began playing piano at age 3 by ear, and continued to teach myself from there on out. My true love came about wiht the B3 Organ when I was about 22 years old.
My early 20's were spent touring with a jam band, "Rebus".
In my mid 20's I went on to work with Australian Artists and Blind Pig Recording Artist "Harper" for about 2 years as his bass player (running left hand bass on a B3 Organ) / keyboardist. .
Somewhere around 29 I started touring with a Serbian born blues woman named "Ana Popovic" and continued to do that for 3 years. That opportunity afforded me the chance to live in Amsterdam, Holland and tour throughout Europe during the summer of 2011. We had some great shows thoughout Europe and even got to open for B.B. King a couple of times in Germany.
After returning to my home town in Roanoke, VA for a few months and performing around town with one of my favorite artists "Hoppie Vaughan" and my brother "Cyrus Pace" I am now relocating to San Francisco, CA to start working with "Tommy Castro", an incredible blues / soul artist signed to Alligator Records.
I have had the pleasure of recording on over 30 albums in my life with some great bands and musicians.
Name Dropping..
Over the years I have been hired by or shared the stage with some great performers such as B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, Los Lobos, Los Lonely Boys, Blue Note Recording artist Rodney Jones, Wayne Krantz (of Steely Dan), Janiva Magness, Blues Travelers, John Popper and many others who have inspired me to continue to do what I do , and get better at it.
Touring has given me the chance to play many great festivals around the world, my favorite still remains in Montreal's Jazz Fest with Ana Popovic.
